I’m starting to reconsider, cause “The Ginger Truth” is pretty good too, but I don’t feel like a real ginger, so then people might disregard my truthfulness.
But now I like, “What I Know, for Now”
So, WIKFN #1:
What do I know for now? Let me tell you folks, life is pretty predictable.
Some hopeful people like to believe that life is unpredictable. This makes life seem more interesting. For example, that cute guy you just ran into on the bus could have just moved into the apartment next to yours. But guess what, he didn’t.
For some, an “unpredictable” life might be what keeps some moving. They wake up day to day considering endless possibilities, but end up in the same spot 17 hours later thinking the same thing. In reality, life is predictable. Unless you are a super spy or work in some sweet job, chances are your routines won’t change much, and because of that, life’s predictability will remain the same. The only way to increase chances of unpredictability is to change routine, but too many people are scared to change their routine in the first place. Mathematically, the same routine with enough people leads to no unpredictability.
You are probably wondering, well ..drea, wtf are you trying to say. Well, it is comforting that I won’t get shot walking down Regent, but it would also be nice to fall in love with that stranger on the bus. Predictability is what keeps us alive, because if everything was unpredictable, life would be too chaotic. We need it to feel safe. But, in the end, I would say do something crazy and un-routine-ish. Couldn’t we all use some spontaneity?
